Mining & Resources Industry Remuneration Surveys - Australia

There are four biannual remuneration surveys conducted by McDonald & Company (Australasia) Pty Ltd. These surveys provide management with detailed information on current salary levels for roles ranging from Chairman of the Board to trades and operator roles. The reports analyse the impact of factors such as operation size, gross revenue, operating budgets, working hours and shift patterns on remuneration and identify emerging remuneration trends in the mining & resources and engineering & construction industries.

An annual survey of non-executive directors' remuneration is provided in December. An annual survey of Australian expatriates in the resources industry is conducted in April.

The reports provide detailed data and analysis of the impact of short-term cash bonus and incentive payments as well as long-term incentive plans (e.g. share options).
